One of the first problems you will run into with respect to advertising is paying for it. As discussed in the section on traffic exchanges, you must pay with either time or money. If you have the money, that's great, read no further; the chances are though that you don't and that you do need to spend precious time generating that all important bit of advertising that will generate your next sale. Having established that you need to spend time on advertising, you still have a couple of options; you can either go it alone (not recommended) or you can leverage the efforts of others. This is extremely important as getting others to do your advertising for you means you don't need to spend as much time doing it yourself. The math speaks for itself; if it takes you half an hour surfing 5 sites to generate 50 credits on each. then your site is going to be seen 250 times for that half hour you spend surfing. But what if you have a downline of 100 who are also surfing... what about 200... if they are level 1 referrals then you will be rewarded accordingly for their efforts. Further more, most exchanges reward for referrals on a number of levels. Now you can see the power of having a good downline. Now consider that most who surf manual traffic exchanges are doing so because they are trying to sell you their opportunity, so it stands to reason that if you are also trying to sell your opportunity, then your audience more than likely will not be interested in what you have to offer; they already believe that what they are doing is better than everything else so why would they be interested in what you have to offer? Don't despair, and don't stop advertising on manual traffic exchanges. All you need to do is find something that your audience does want, without trying to tear them away from what they are already doing. How? Find something that is useful, that others need and will benefit from. Downline builders are a perfect example of a tool that is useful and will benefit everyone who is advertising with manual traffic exchanges. And they will benefit you, because you will be rewarded with traffic for the time your downline spend surfing. That traffic will generate more referrals which will continue to grow your downline. See what's happening? You finish up with a viral effect that results in more and more traffic. Great, we've got a huge downline and loads of traffic, what now? As your downline grows, you don't need to spend as much time on advertising yourself, but not only that you have a lot more traffic which means you can afford to put together a squeeze page or two and start to generate another list. This time though, you employ the services of an auto-responder and use it to generate a list of people to which you can now promote your opportunity. Don't get me wrong, this all takes time I know, but it is time better spent than just aimlessly spinning your wheels and getting nowhere. So where do you find a good downline builder? There are plenty of them and they all claim to be the bees knees of downline builders. I can't join all of them... How do I find a good one? These are all valid questions and there are indeed hundreds if not thousands of downline builders out there. I currently use three downline builders; VitalViral, Traffic Hoopla and Marketing Pond;
